Colorado Mountain Winefest weekend is here and here's a look at some important things you need to know.

Most of the special events surrounding Winefest have sold out, including Thursday's Wine, Dine, and Paint event at the Palette, the Scenic Wine Country Bus Tour, WIne and Glass Experience, The Winemakers Dinner, and the Chocolate and Wine Tasting event at Wine Country Inn.

Throughout the weekend - Thursday-Sunday there will be food and wine pairings at several participating restaurants. A glass of Colorado wine will be paired with an appetizer - at happy hour prices at $20 or less. Participating restaurants include Garfield's, Enzo's Pizzeria, Kannah Creek Brewing Company, No Coast Sushi, The Winery, 626 on Rood, and Wine Country Inn.

Tickets for Saturday's "Festival in the Park" are available for $45 in advance, and $55 at the gate. VIP tickets are sold out. Your ticket purchase includes entrance to the park, a commemorative tasting glass, and a wine tote. There is no guarantee that tickets will be available on the day of the event. It's recommended you get your tickets in advance.

Tickets for non-drinkers at Winefest are $25 on-line, and $35 at the gate.

A free shuttle service is being provided in Palisade on Saturday from 8:00AM until 6:30PM. The service runs every 20-30 minutes from Peachbowl Park, Taylor Elementary, Palisade High School, and Mt. Garfield Middle School.

A shuttle service for a fee is being provided from the Horizon Drive and Downtown hotels to Winefest.Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 on Saturday. Day of shuttle tickets can be purchased from 9AM-NOON at the DoubleTree Hotel and the SpringHill Suites.

Sunday will feature the Palisade Farmers Market from 10AM-2:00PM, and free tours of the wineries from 10AM-5:00PM.

No one under the age of 21 will be admitted to the festival, including children in strollers. Small coolers are allowed, with unopened bottles of water or soda. People are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs, although there is some seating available.
