Safety Fair, Musical Entertainment Among Grand Junction Events for Weekend of February 20-23
As 2014 continues to move forward, the weekends continue to fill up with more events, which gives all of us more of a reason to look forward to the weekend. Here’s a look at what’s coming up this weekend in Grand Junction:
Safety Fair 2014

Mesa County Safety Council and Mesa Mall are presenting the Safety Fair. Bring the kids to learn how to be safe at home, school, and play. More than 25 booths featuring fun and educational ways to be safe. Make sure to start in the JCPenney wing to get a map of the events vendors. For every booth visited, participants will be entered into a drawing for a FREE pizza party from Nick N Willy's Pizza.

3rd Annual Art & Treasures Auction

Peter Pan

Grand Junction High School’s performing arts department will present the musical “Peter Pan” at Grand Junction High School. Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
Grand Junction High School basketball vs. Fruita Monument

Behind the Scenes Museum Tour

Behind-the-Scenes Tours allow tour participants to enter collections storage areas that are seldom open to the public. Hundreds of artifacts not currently on display may be viewed, as well as laboratories and work areas. In addition, the exhibition halls will be open for a true museum after dark experience.
Saxophonist Stephen Page in concert

Colorado Mesa University’s Music Department presents saxophonist Stephen Page in concert. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students.
CMU Music Faculty Stephen Page will present an evening of original works for saxophone. Works by Beffa, Canfield, Benson, Kaufmann and Yashimatsu will represent pieces written specifically for saxophone. Page will also present pieces transcripted from violin repertoire by Faure and De Falla.
Cabin Fever Reliever 5k run/walk
