When Joe Cornell found a bag with $125-thousand cash inside, he could have kept it. But instead, this honest man decided to contact authorities and return the money to the armored truck company that lost it. In doing so, he found out honesty really does pay.

Cornell, who only had a dollar to buy lunch that day, could have kept the money and may never have been caught. Instead he did the right thing saying,

I thought, What type of man do I want my grandkids to think I am? I want them to think I'm a just man that does the right thing and I did the right thing."

For his honesty, the armored carrier gave Cornell a $5,000 reward. The company also made a $5,000 donation to the Salvation Army where Cornell volunteers and is in their rehabilitation program.
