The Grand Junction Police Department responded to a bicycle-auto accident at 5th Street and Kennedy Avenue. They also responded to a motorcycle-auto accident near 3260 North 12th Street.

Police say a man was riding a bicycle northbound near 5th and Kennedy when he collided with a car driving eastbound.

The man riding the bicycle was injured, but police do not have information on the extent of his injuries. There was no injury report available for the female driver of the car.

A man riding a motorcycle northbound 12th Street collided with a southbound vehicle when the driver of the car appears to have turned in front of him.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no injury report for the driver of the car.

Drivers are urged to pay extra attention as the warmer weather typically increases the number of bicyclists and motorcyclists on the road.

Riders also need to be extra cautious and aware of traffic in an attempt to avoid crashes like the two today.
