Montrose Shows Its Patriotism During Flag Day Celebration

Flag Day is Tuesday (June 14) and Montrose has a patriotic celebration planned at Centennial Plaza.

The program, open to the public, will be from 11:30 a.m. until Noon and will include:

• Color Guard by VFW Post 784
• National Anthem sang by Collin Huffer
• Flag Day Proclamation by Montrose Mayor, Rex Swanson
• Vietnam War Commemorative Flag Presentation courtesy of the Daughters of the American Revolution
• Guest Speaker Stephen Alcorn
• Music Performance by Beth Williams and David Snider

People attending the Flag Day celebration are invited to stay for an All-American style lunch with hamburgers and hot dogs.
