When someone wants a French Vanilla Chocolate Twist at 11 p.m., they want a French Vanilla Chocolate Twist, darn it! Then again, they may just want to rob the place.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office seeks your assistance in identifying the suspect who robbed the Sonic in Clifton last Sunday night.

In this "I want it now - credit card world," one has to wonder just how much this robber was expecting to walk away with when robbing a burger and ice cream joint. Last Sunday night, October 22, deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Sonic on the 3200 block of I-70 B.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office reports a male suspect approached an employee and demanded cash. Photos from surveillance cameras show some Loch Ness Monster-quality photos of the suspect. He is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • male
  • medium build
  • blue eyes
  • navy blue hoodie
  • jeans

Granted, the photos are a bit difficult to make out. Then again, they're better than nothing. Take a close look, and then, take a closer look. Somebody out there knows this guy.

After robbing the place, the guy took off in a chick-magnet 4-door passenger car.

If you recognize him or have any information, contact the Mesa County Sheriff's Office at (970) 242-6706, or call Crime Stoppers at (970) 241-STOP. There could be some bucks in it for you. If your information leads to an arrest, you could receive up to $1,000. Please keep in mind, you will remain completely anonymous.
