Common sense would seem to say that telling a police officer you want to"hide from police" is a bad idea, but those words led to a Grand Junction arrest on Tuesday.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, a uniformed officer was engaged in a conversation with two individuals, and after asking them where they were headed, 29-year-old Danielle Gordon reportedly said "somewhere to hide from police."

At that point, the officer noticed a rolled up cloth sticking out of Gordon's clothing, and he could see two plungers for hypodermic needles visible at the top of the cloth. As it turned out, both needles contained a clear liquid that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.  A probable cause search of Gordon's property revealed additional suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Danielle Gordon was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Jail on charges of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
