Bicycling enthusiasts spend a lot of time on their bikes and a lot of money on their bikes. When that bike is stolen, it's a big loss personally and financially.

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County

The loss of this crime is a $5,500 Trek Fuel EX8 bicycle. The Grand Junction Police Department says the bicycle was stolen out of a Toyota Tacoma truck parked at 728 Horizon Drive.

The theft happened sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 30. The stolen bike has a black frame and custom cherry red anodized rims and cherry red brake hubs and bears the serial number WTU007G0247M.
