Summer months are typically thought of as good months for employment in Colorado. While it isn't the case this summer in the state as a whole, Western Colorado has seen an increase in people finding jobs.
Since losing the only employee earlier this year, the Rifle Workforce Center has only been able to operate part-time. Now, thanks to a new employee, the center is back to work full-time.
As western Colorado heads into the summer tourist season, the employment situation in Mesa County hasn't changed, at least for the last couple of months.
