While trying to say rhinoceros, she resorted to the shortened form, rhino, in order to get through the story. Unfortunately, her inability to say the word makes you almost miss the point the wild rhinoceros killed someone.

In the case of this news anchor, it was easy enough to switch, since rhino is an acceptable abbreviation for rhinoceros.
