When driving through town, there's always that one intersection you dread. Here's a quick rundown of the ten worst in Grand Junction.

This is a matter of opinion, but to me, driving in Grand Junction is kind of like pizza - even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. My weekly trek from Orchard Mesa to 29 &F 1/2 road takes less than 15 minutes. Friends tell me about their days in Los Angeles when it could take anywhere from one to two hours to commute each way to work.

For the most part, you can make it through any Grand Junction intersection in a single light change. Try telling that to someone from Denver.

There is, however, this matter of people turning left a full five seconds after the green arrow turned red. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the driver who sits at the green arrow a full ten seconds before realizing it's green. In the end, a grand total of two cars make it through the intersection before the arrow goes red. Add to that the fact that many drivers in the valley believe there needs to be a full eight car lengths between every vehicle when making the turn. A green arrow in Grand Junction gets five cars through the intersection if you're lucky.

For your viewing pleasure, I present what I perceive to be the ten crummiest intersections in the valley. You'll notice intersections make the cut for a variety of reasons. Some of those concerns are based on factual data, others on personal experiences. Let's start with the mother ship:
