Multiples crashes have caused multiple closures on I-70. Eastbound I-70 is currently closed at Dowd Junction (168-171), West Vail (173)  and Vail (176).

Winter weather in Colorado has really taken a toll on the roads today. There have been numerous crashes today on I-70 because of it. Cars near Vail pass are facing all different kinds of directions and there's a massive pileup due to the snowy roads.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation Facebook page, these are some of the closures on I-70 right now.

Dowds Junction (168-171)

I-70 Eastbound is closed at Dowds Junction, which is mileposts 168-171. This is due to multiple crashes are there is no estimated time of this area reopening, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation Facebook page.

West Vail (173)

According to CDOT, there's another closure on eastbound I-70 at milepost 173.

Vail (176)

I-70 Eastbound is also closed at milepost 176 in Vail due to safety concerns on Vail Pass, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation Facebook page.
