Throwback Thursday – Fun With Vintage 1970s Pioneer Headphones [VIDEO]

Remember those big bulky headphones from the 70s? We found a pair and Ed gives them a try.

I have to admit, the volume and tone controls were a bit scratchy when adjusting, but after a few turns started working pretty well.

It took a lot more power from our mixing console in the studio to drive these than my regular headphones, but for as old as they are, they sound pretty good.

I'd also forgotten how heavy old headphones are. I can't imagine wearing them for any amount of time without getting neck strain.
