Former Toto, Trillion and Le Roux singer Dennis 'Fergie' Frederiksen died today after a nearly four-year-long battle with cancer. Frederiksen sang on Toto's 1984 'Isolation' album, which featured the hit single 'Stranger in Town.'

'CBS This Morning' has a bit of egg on its face today (Dec. 10). The network's morning show is facing criticism for its use of Toto's hit "Africa" in its coverage of Nelson Mandela's funeral.

Legal streams and downloads have helped take some of the bite out of the music industry's piracy problem, but they haven't done much to stem the financial bleeding for a lot of artists. And as far as Toto's Steve Lukather is concerned, the shift in how music is delivered has coincided with a change in the way it's written and recorded too.
