Area law enforcement agencies invite you to join them for a 5K run to support the Special Olympics. This event is coming to Western Colorado on Saturday, May 14, and you should give serious consideration to participating. Here are five reasons why you should get on board.

The Special Olympics torch made its way through Grand Junction today (July 1) with the help of the Grand Junction Police Department. The half mile route of the Grand Junction leg began at 9th and Ute, just after 7:00 a.m. today.

The Flame of Hope, on a trek from Athens, Greece to Los Angeles for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games will pass through Grand Junction on Wednesday, July 1st.
