The show based on the beloved movie will open at the Manchester Opera House next February.

It is with great sadness that we bring you the news that Elaine Stritch, the iconic actress of Broadway, film and television has passed away at the age of 89. Stritch, who was nominated for many Tony and Emmy awards and won three of the latter, was known best in recent years for her role as Colleen Donaghy, mother of Jack, on '30 Rock.'

Just like 'Gilligan's Island,' fellow Nick at Nite rerun classic 'Green Acres' is also getting the big screen adaptation treatment ... as well as a Broadway production, courtesy of director Richard L. Bare, a frequent director on the original series and a man who obviously didn't take Elsa's advice in 'Frozen.'

It only took a few decades, but the promise Carole King's first husband Gerry Goffin made to her when they first met is is finally going to come true.
