Here's how Pit Boss Scott Krug is inspired by his mom and Texas when it comes to barbecuing.

The BBQ grilling season is underway in western Colorado and we have discovered some unexpected culinary offerings on Grand Junction's grills.

My cooking abilities normally are limited to two steps. Step one find the food that needs to be cooked at the grocery store. Step two put whatever food I found in the microwave oven and push a button. Notice I did not say two buttons. That's too complicated. That normal cooking technique will not cut it for the 4th of July weekend.

In honor of Labor Day Weekend and Pork and Hops coming up September 12 and 13, I figured we'd celebrate with some of our less intelligent amateur BBQers.

The city of Fruita has cancelled their July 3rd fireworks due to the extreme fire danger. The grass and shrubs at the launch site is extremely dry this year and if a fire where to break out it would threaten nearby subdivisions. After consulting with local emergency services, city officials decided it was in the best interest of the public to cancel the show.
