Six Colorado communities made the list of nominees in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for 2020. Spoiler Alert: Grand Junction wasn't one of them.

Are you familiar with this annual awards competition? Twenty nominees are selected by USA Today travel experts. Categories include food, things to do, travel gear, lodging, and destinations.

Let's single out Mancos. What's going on in Mancos? That community was nominated for Best Small Town Cultural Scene. According to USA Today:

The town of Mancos serves as the gateway to the ruins of Mesa Verde National Park, where visitors can learn more about the region’s ancient Anasazi. The town itself is home to a thriving artist community, complete with a growing number of galleries, an artists co-op and plenty of boutiques.

I was just in Mancos about 96 hours ago, and I'll agree with everything stated in that blurb. I regret not having more time to look around.

According to 9News, voting in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards continue through June 29, 2020. Can you vote more than once? Absolutely. You can vote once per day in each category. Votes will be tallied and shown in real-time on the site's leaderboard.
