Twenty years ago a man named Marlin Dorhout went to Nicaragua for Habitat for Humanity and took some homemade wooden toys with him.

The kids went nuts over the toys and that's when Dorhout decided to make toys for less privileged children called "Toys for God's Kids".

These days there are over 300 volunteers nationwide who make wooden toys for kids and it doesn't look as though that will stop any time soon.

At the Someren Glen Retirement Community in Centennial, the retirees there make it a labor of love, making these wooden toys for those kids who may not have any.

And to show you how impressive these folks are, earlier in the week they made their two millionth toy car. No one is paid for this, including the man who founded it. Those who make the toys get to spread a little happiness to a child who may have never had a toy before.
