Pope Francis Says He’s Not Opposed to Baptizing Aliens

It's not something you would expect the Pope to say, but apparently he would baptize aliens from Mars if they asked him to.

In a story on Yahoo News, Pope Francis is quoted as saying aliens should be baptized like anyone else who asks for it.

It's not that the Pope necessarily believes there are aliens in outer space, or that any are headed this way. The Pope's comments were part of a discussion about the early Church's baptizing of Gentiles.

The comments by Pope Francis bring him down to earth for us just a bit, and help us to realize that in spite of his revered position, he's still human just like the rest of us.
