Pitcher Literally Saves His Face Catching Line Drive

Lansing Lugnuts pitcher Daniel Norris was faced with a 'do or die' situation when a batter hit a ball right towards his head.

In the video we get to see the hit in slow motion. Imagine being at the ballpark watching this unfold in real-time. Based on the initial reaction of the batter and seeing Norris lying on the ground would give anyone the impression he was seriously injured. Thanks to a great catch, the only 'out' was the batter.

It's estimated the ball was traveling 80-100 mph, enough to cause serious head injury and possibly death.
