My Jazz Has Crossed The Rainbow Bridge
I knew it was coming, and so did he, but nothing ever prepares you for the loss of a beloved pet.
Jazz was more than a pet to me. He was family. He was my best friend. He was the best reason to wake up every day.
I first met Jazz when he was 4 months old when I rescued him from an abusive owner. He was so tiny, I can't imagine why anyone would want to abuse such a little, sweet dog, so I took him, took him home and poured all of the love I had into that dog for 11 years.
Jazz was a great companion. He seemed to know when things weren't going well and he would crawl up onto my shoulder and just sit there, licking my ear until I smiled and hugged him up.
Jazz also had this cute thing he would do when he wanted to go outside or wanted attention, popping down on his front paws, grunting, tail wagging.
But my best memory, the best thought I have of my boy was when he was happy and satisfied he would stick his tongue out a little. Nothing was cuter.
I am going to miss him beyond measure. I don't think I will ever love anything as much as I loved that dog. He was the best dog ever and a good boy.
Rest easy my buddy. Your pain is gone.
I will miss you for the rest of my life.
