Once again this upcoming Wednesday (November 11th) we take the day to honor so many brave men and women who have fought for our country. There are many Mesa County offices that will be closed for the day to honor these heroes.

KREX, put together a good list of all offices that will be opened and which ones will be closed for the day.

The Coroner's Office, Criminal Justice Services, the Mesa County Landfill, and emergency functions of the Sheriff's Office will all be open on Veterans Day.

Here is a list of county offices that will be closed for Veterans Day:

Administration, Assessor, County Commissioners, County Attorney, Financial Services, Human Resources, IT, Surveyor, Treasurer (544 Rood Ave.)

Clerk & Recorder: Elections, Clerk to the Board, Recording (200 S. Spruce St.) Motor Vehicle (all locations)

District Attorney’s Office (125 N. Spruce St.)

Department of Human Services (510 29 1/2 Road)

Facilities and Fairgrounds (2785 U.S. Highway 50)

Public Health (510 29 1/2 Road)

Public Works, Building, and Planning (971 Coffman Road & 200 S. Spruce St.)

Regional Transportation Planning Office (525 S. 6th St.)

Sheriff’s Office: Records and Civil Divisions (215 Rice St.)

Solid Waste Management: Compost, Hazardous Waste and Transfer Stations (3071 U.S. Highway 50)

Tri-River Area CSU Extension (2775 U.S. Highway 50)

Workforce Center (512 29 1/2 Road)

*Animal Services (971A Coffman Road) will be open but only from the hours of 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.*
