Kayne West's campaign had to do the following in order to be on Colorado's ballot, according to the Denver Post:

  • Notarized statements from the presidential candidate and vice presential running-mate
  • Pay a $1,000 filing fee
  • Submit nine names and signatures

The nine names and signatures are nine voters who, if he wins, pledged to support him and to represent him in the Electoral College, according to CPR. All nine people must be registered voters in Colorado. Kayne West's running mate is Michelle Tidball, who is self-described as a biblical life coach who's based in Wyoming, according to The New York Times.

Kanye West announced that he was running for president on Twitter on July 4th stating that 'we must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.'

According to CPR, if Kayne West gets approved, he'll be listed as an unaffiliated candidate for president on November's ballot. Kanye West has mentioned running for president several times over the past decade and this time it looks like he's taking action to make it happen.
