John Elway Gives Advice to Peyton Manning
Not that Peyton Manning needs it, but John Elway has some simple advice for the Denver Broncos' quarterback.
John Elway knows a lot about playing in the Super Bowl. He's been there five times. He also knows a little about winning it. He's won it twice.
But, when your quarterback is Peyton Manning, whom some would say doubles as the team's offensive coordinator, there's probably not a lot that could be said that he hasn't already thought of, or that he doesn't know when it comes to playing in a big game.
Elway gave his advice recently on NFL Network saying, Peyton just needs to "keep being Peyton, and we'll be world champions."
If that is what it is going to take for the Broncos to win the Super Bowl, you can bet the Seattle Seahawks will be doing everything in their power to keep Peyton from being the Peyton that has steamrolled opposing defenses on his way to over 5,000 passing yards and 55 touchdowns.
The best way to keep Peyton's offensive out of the endzone is by keeping them on the bench - and the best way to do that is to control the game by running the football - a lot. The Broncos' ability to control Seahawks power-runner Marshawn Lynch will go a long ways toward determining whether or not Peyton will be Peyton in Super Bowl XLVIII.
