There are plenty of fun events for skiers and snowboarders that take place across Colorado each winter, but a new one will be introduced this ski season that will combine snowboarding with live music and a chance for amateur snowboarders to rub elbows with the pros.

The event is going to be called the Rockstar Energy Open and will take place in Breckenridge, Colorado, this coming winter.

The inaugural Rockstar Energy Open will take place over three days beginning on December 19, 2025, and concluding on December 21, 2025.

One of the coolest and most unique things about the event is that amateur snowboarders will be given the chance to compete alongside professionals.

Snowboarders interested in doing so are encouraged to submit applications via theplatfrm.com between October 27, 2025, and November 23, 2025.

Colorado's Rockstar Energy Open + Entertainment

While it appears that no artists have been announced yet, it has been reported that the Rockstar Energy Open in Breckenridge will feature live music, in addition to the numerous snowboarding competitions featuring professional and amateur snowboarders.

Colorado's Rockstar Energy Open + Ullr Fest

The Rockstar Energy Open will be held in conjunction with Breckenridge's Ullr Fest, a festival that features a parade and bonfire and has been a celebration in the ski town for over 60 years.
