There's no denying that the legendary Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is one of the most beautiful and beloved places in Colorado. If you've ever purchased a t-shirt at a concert held at Red Rocks, you've probably noticed that the city associated with the tour date isn't Denver but rather Morrison.

Morrison is a quaint, cute little mountain town just west of C-470 and is home to a few notable places including the aforementioned Red Rocks as well as the now-defunct Bandimere Speedway, but little else typically goes on there.

However, an extremely messy challenge for athletic types will be coming to Colorado in 2025 and will be added to the list of things to do this summer in the town of Morrison.

Mud Factor is Coming to Morrison Colorado in 2025

The event is known as Mud Factor and is a rather extreme athletic challenge that involves, as the title suggests, a lot of mud.

People who take part in competitions like this train vigorously; a necessity in performing well in the messy obstacle course/marathon combo.

This year's event will take place on August 2nd at Thunder Valley Motorcross Park, located just north of Red Rocks and the now-closed Bandimere Speedway.

In total, the Mud Factor fun run is a 5k with obstacles such as mud pits, cargo climbs, water slides, and more.
