Cool Old Cars: Crimestoppers Car Show in Grand Junction Colorado

For enthusiasts of classic cars, there's nothing quite like spending a beautiful day outside at a car show. The smell of gasoline, the bench seats, and the sheer muscle of the vehicles are just some of the things that frequent car show attendees live for during the summer.

In case you missed it, Crimestoppers of Mesa County recently put on what must be one of the first car shows of the year to take place in Grand Junction and as you'll see below, there was no shortage of cool, old cars.

If you've spent enough time in Grand Junction, especially in recent years, it's likely that you've visited the old, now-defunct Sutherlands store, or at the very least, the parking lot for one reason or another.

Recently, the Crimestoppers of Mesa County's second-annual car show took place in this very parking lot. April 20, 2024, saw over 100 classic vehicles on display in the old parking lot as droves of car enthusiasts showed up to check it out.

While there were some old cars and trucks that looked their age, the majority of the old vehicles sported new paint jobs, upgraded parts, and other modifications in order to improve performance and/or ensure to catch the eyes of passersby.

Crimestoppers of Mesa County thanked the community for making the car show a success and based on attendance and the plethora of vehicles that were entered, it's pretty likely that we can expect a 3rd annual show next year.
