See the Schedule: Montrose, Colorado Red Hawks Football Is Back
The Montrose Red Hawks did us all proud last year, representing the Western Slope in a classic 4A High School state championship game against the Broomfield Eagles. The Red Hawks lost that game 35 to 28, their only loss of the season.
As the team returns in 2025, they begin the season ranked #2 behind Broomfield in the 4A. Keep reading to take a look at the team's schedule for the upcoming season, and find out more about listening to the Red Hawks football games on KUBC The Canyon (AM 580 and FM 104.5 in Montrose).
2025 Red Hawks Season Outlook
Students return to Montrose High School on August 18 for Freshman orientation and first-quarter classes. The Red Hawks will return to the gridiron August 22, when they visit Durango High School to take on the Demons at 7 p.m. The team's first home game is coming up on August 29 vs. Greeley West.
The Red Hawks will play five road games and five home games, all of which can be heard on local radio. Fans can stream games on the NFHS Network through Montrose High School Athletics. The team will strive to be a well-oiled machine by October, as the final five contests of the season will mean the most for playoff seeding.
