Enstrom Candies’ Big Expansion Is Great News for Grand Junction
Congratulations to Grand Junction’s Enstrom Candies on the recent completion of their new 50,000-square-foot facility at 28 Road and Grand Avenue. It’s great to see one of Western Colorado’s longest-running businesses continue to grow and reinvest in the local economy and job market.
Instead of outsourcing or relocating, Enstrom is investing locally. Mesa County welcomes the stable manufacturing work, and residents are finding out that this is more than just a new warehouse on the Western Slope.

A story in the Montrose Business Times mentions that the new Enstrom facility was completed in May, and that the company would be transitioning inventory and employees to the property this summer. The plan is for the new space to expand production, storage, and distribution. It will stand as a modernized manufacturing and logistics hub serving the region and the nation.
Enstrom’s new production engine supports efficiency, food safety standards, and increased output, which means more amazing toffee for you and me.
Why Enstrom Says the Expansion Was Necessary Now
The reasons for the expansion and new space are a result of an increase in demand for their traditional Almond Toffee and world-famous candies. Enstrom says they needed a more efficient production system, space to modernize, and the need to reorganize and consolidate operations from spaces already operating a max capacity.

Now don’t be nervous. Enstrom Candies has been selling toffee in Grand Junction since 1960, and there are no plans to stop now. Major expansions are often accompanied by rumors of relocation, but that’s not in the cards for Enstrom. They have explicitly stated that their retail, candy kitchen, and corporate headquarters are all staying in downtown Grand Junction. The new facility will complement, not replace, existing operations, including warehousing, distribution, and support.
