Popular Colorado TV Anchor To Retire After Nearly 50 Years
Living in Colorado my entire life, I can't help but get sad when another one of my fellow broadcasters hangs up their mic for the last time, especially when it's someone I've watched for as long as I have.
Local Colorado TV Anchor & Weather Meteorologist Retires
Did you grow up in Colorado? Do you remember years ago when all three news stations, 9, 7, and 4 all switched networks? It was in the 90s I feel like, but that's how long I've been around.
Biased probably because I was born and raised here, but Colorado has some of the very best TV personalities in the world. Some of my old-school favorites like Mike Landus, Adele Arakawa, Ed Sardella, and Mike Nelson. To newer favs like Kyle Clark, Jeremy Hubbard, Kathy Sabine, Steve Starger, and my guy Dave Frasier. Colorado is spoiled.
I've watched many retire over the years, and each time it makes me sad because they truly feel like friends and family. Today, another Colorado TV mainstay has announced that he's passing off his weather clicker, this time for good.
Colorado TV Legend Ed Greene Retires From 9News KUSA
After 47 years in Denver broadcasting, Ed Greene has announced his retirement from 9News effective today, Friday, July 26th, 2024. The irony is that his first day at 9News was in 1996 during the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and he hangs it up on the day the 2024 Summer Olympics kick-off in Paris.
Ed Greene has worked for all of the major news stations in Colorado, including CBS News 4, Denver7, and 9News, where he was a part of the 9News Mornings team since 2021. Thank you, Ed! We've loved watching you. Best of luck on staying retired this time!
