83-Year-Old Littleton Woman Fulfills Race Car Driving Dream
Most of us in Colorado have a bucket list. It may not be written on paper, but bucket list's are great for making your dreams a reality. Common bucket list items may be an international vacation, skydiving, or going to a concert at the legendary Red Rocks.
Or your dream may be the same as Bobbi Oxford. Oxford is an 82-year-old woman from Littleton. Her lifelong dream has been to go fast. Very fast.
Littleton Resident's Need for Speed
AARP's Wish of a Lifetime just made Oxford's wish come true. Wish of a Lifetime is a program that grants wishes to older adults and Oxford's wish was granted to drive a race car. This charity is based in Boulder.

According to Autoweek, Oxford has dreamed of competing in race cars her entire life.
She says that her brothers raced and that she never had the opportunity to do so because she was a woman and did not have the same opportunities.
She has been an avid NASCAR fan her entire life.
Colorado Woman's Dream Comes True in Fountain
Oxford had the opportunity to drive a race car at Pikes Peak Internation Raceway in Fountain, Colorado last month. The average speed of a NASCAR vehicle during a race is 180 miles per hour.
83-year-old Oxford did not get to drive quite at that speed; however, she drove around 90 miles per hour.
Here is a great video by AARP of Oxford's epic day.
Colorado's Wish of a Lifetime
Oxford's friend told her about Wish of a Lifetime and recommended that she submitted her dream of flying fast in a race car.
Wish of a Lifetime made that dream a reality. It is obvious from the video that these efforts made the world to Oxford and her smile is totally contagous.
