What Jobs Are People in Colorado Quitting the Most?

KDVR states that the jobs that are seeing the highest rates of resignation are from the accommodation and food services industries. These two industries are twice the average when it comes to resignation rates among all other industries.  The leisure and hospitality industry ranks at second and the retail industry has the third-highest rate of resignations.

Besides Colorado, these are the other states that have the highest resignation rates in the United States:

  • Delaware - Tied with Colorado for sixth with 29 resignations per 1,000 people.
  • Arkansas, Montana, and Tennessee - Tied for fifth with 30 resignations per 1,000 people.
  • Kentucky - Fourth with 31 resignations per 1,000 people.
  • Louisiana - Third with 32 resignations per 1,000 people.
  • Georgia - Second with 33 resignations per 1,000 people.
  • Alaska and Wyoming - Tied for the highest rate with 34 resignations per 1,000 people.

It appears that resignations seem to happen most often in industries that have odd working hours and traditionally pay lower. KDVR reports that Colorado's employment situation is the best in the United States. So it seems that those that are resigning are moving on to better jobs.
