Imagine a crisp winter night in Colorado, where you can see a spectacular show of 600 drones in formation right above your head. Lucky for you, this is something you will not have to dream about because you can see it live and in person starting in late November.

Mile High Holidays Drone Show Returns to Denver

Visit Denver has announced the return of the Mile High Holidays Drone Show, and it will take place for 41 nights. During the shows, 600 drones will take to the sky and create holiday-themed animations in formation.

These drone shows will be put on by Denver-based Brightflight Drone Shows with state-of-the-art drones that will feature more than a dozen animations to get you in the holiday spirit. We're talking Santa and his reindeer, the Mile High Tree, iconic Denver landmarks, and more.

Each drone show will launch just west of downtown Denver and last for about 10 to 15 minutes. Plus, each drone show will be different from the last. The drone shows will kick off at 7 p.m. starting Friday, November 21, and will happen nightly through December 31.

According to Visit Denver, here are some of the best places in Denver to see the Mile High Holidays Drone Shows:

  • The Tivoli Quad on Auraria Campus
  • The Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex
  • 54thirty Rooftop at the Le Meridian Denver Downtown
  • The Peaks Lounge at Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center

Free Holiday Fun for Everyone

The drone shows will be free and open for all to watch. As with any outdoor event, and especially during the winter months, the drone shows are subject to cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
