We love our dogs in Colorado. I know many people who take their dogs with them wherever they go. Whether it's camping, getting a beer, or making a run to the hardware store, their four-legged best friends are happily going with the flow.

Colorado is one of those states where it is acceptable to have your dog with you pretty much anywhere. It's kind of hard to believe that most states aren't as dog-friendly as Colorado is, but to each their own I suppose. Lawnstarter compared the 500 largest cities in the United States in a few key areas when it comes to dog-friendly locations.

How Dog Friendly Are Colorado Cities in 2024?

Cities like Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs have all been places that are regarded as dog-friendly. One would easily assume that any of these Colorado cities would be in the top 10. However, in 2024, none of the Colorado cities made Lawnstarter's top 10 list of dog-friendly cities.

Out of all of the cities and towns in Colorado, Fort Collins was ranked the highest on the list at 16th place. To find any of the other Colorado cities, you are going to have to travel even further down the list. Boulder ranked 37 and Colorado Springs is right behind at 38. Denver is just out of range in the top 50 dog-friendly cities in the United States at 51 and every other Colorado city on the list is well past the 100 mark.

The most friendly city when it comes to dogs in the United States was Scottsdale, Arizona, followed by Asheville, North Carolina, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. See the full list of the most dog-friendly cities in the United States in 2024 at lawnstarter.com.
