Coffee culture is alive in well across Colorado. 66 percent of Americans drink at least one cup of coffee every day. I am the type of person who absolutely has to drink coffee every single morning to jumpstart my day. If I leave my house without a cup of coffee, I know for a fact that I will not be firing on all cylinders.

I, like many others in Colorado, also love going to coffee shops. Sure, going through a drive-thru is one thing, but I really love going inside a coffee shop. I love getting a coffee and doing some work on my laptop. Many Colorado coffee shops go above and beyond to create a welcoming environment for that.

WalletHub took a look at coffee culture across the nation and decided to rank which cities are the best coffee cities in America. They looked at the number of coffee shops, spending, and the number of coffee drinkers.

Denver, Aurora, and Colorado Springs Lead the Way
WalletHub found that Denver, Aurora, and Colorado Springs are Colorado’s top coffee cities. Denver was the 15th biggest coffee city in America. Aurora and Colorado Springs were all in the top 100.

In Denver, there are 20.5 coffee shops for every 100,000 people. That is a whole lot of coffee. Interestingly enough, Colorado Springs has the fifth-highest price for a cup of cappuccino in the nation.

Why Fort Collins Deserves a Spot on the Coffee Map
I love that these cities were highlighted, but I was surprised that there were not more Colorado cities on the list. I live in Fort Collins, and it definitely has a bunch of high-quality coffee shops that are a ton of fun to hang out at.
There's something special about sipping a cup of joe in the Mile High City, where coffee shops seem to pop up on every corner.
