At the Mines Alumni Classic last week, Lesnar shattered the Colorado State University’s shot put record with a distance of 18.50 meters. This impressive distance was also the college athlete's best personal record to date. The previous school record was 17.55 meters. Lesnar ended the weekend with two first-place finishes, one in shot put and the other in weight throw, with a mark of 21.11 meters.

CSU congratulated Lesnar's outstanding accomplishment on social media. She also earned the much-deserved honor of being Waterpik's Student-Athlete of the Week.

Mya Lesnar is currently a junior at Colorado State University. The 21-year-old transferred to CSU after previously attending Arizona State University. She attended high school in her hometown of Alexandria, Minnesota where she was the MN Shot Put Champion in 2019.

During her time so far on CSU's track team, the talented All-American athlete ranked No.1 in the weight throw at the indoor Mountain West Championships and No. 3 in the shot put at the indoor and outdoor conference championships.
