A sure sign of spring for some dog owners is that they notice their pet munching on some of the green blades of grass in the yard. This may explain why your dog does it.

It would seem the primary reason dogs eat grass is they like it. Which also explains why not all dogs eat grass. Why eat it, if you don't like it?

If you're like me and have owned multiple dogs over the years, you've probably noticed your furry friends, like humans, don't share exactly the same likes and dislikes. This of course, gives us even more reason to give dogs human characteristics.

Still, as pointed out in the video, if your dog is eating a lot of grass, either he's trying to tell you you're overdue on mowing or there's something wrong. No matter, a trip to the veterinarian is a good idea.

A word of caution, if your dog likes to eat grass, make sure he's not munching after you've applied fertilizer or weed killer. Ingesting either one can be deadly.
