One of the more bizarre stories to come out of this week's Colorado storm was a rescue on the Manitou Incline.

If you have some common sense, be thankful for it and don't take it for granted. Not everyone has it.

While motorists were battling a myriad of road closures, extreme winter driving conditions, and thousands of residents were without power, one Colorado Springs man thought it might be a good day for a hike up the popular Manitou Incline, despite the clear warning from local authorities on Tuesday.

The #CityofColoradoSpringsGovernment is expecting a potential blizzard tomorrow which indicates high winds, wind chill factors very low, poor visibility, accumulation, drifts, downed power lines and everything that may come with a large weather event such as this. The CSFD wants to remind all of our citizens to stay in their home if at all possible...

This 69-year old man takes off up the Incline, it's 27 degrees, blowing snow, and the wind chill is 17. Reports indicate he was not dressed for the cold and the snow.
