A truly inspiring story of a Grand Junction woman.

Jordanne Menzies has been in a wheelchair for the past 13 years. When she was 18, she was involved in a car accident that rendered her paralyzed from the shoulders down.

As horrific as the results of that accident were for her, Jordanne never got down or became discouraged about her situation. In fact, you could say she became determined. Determined to not let injuries prevent her from living her life.

So, let me present the newly crowned Ms. Wheelchair Colorado-Jordanne Menzies!

The pageant was held recently in Denver. It's an event that gives these woman an opportunity to speak out on their interests, beliefs, and causes they support while showcasing their personalities. Now, with the Colorado crown, Jordanne will move on to the Ms. Wheelchair America competition in a few months.

Jordanne is in need of sponsors for the trip. If anyone would like to help support her, please go to her Facebook page.
