Grand Junction Venue Nominated for Impressive Country Music Award

A Grand Junction venue has been nominated for a very prestigious award celebrating the best in Country music from the Rocky Mountain region.

The Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards are returning for the fourth year. Festivals, venues, and musicians from a nine-state region will compete for the RMCMA custom belt buckles.

The nominees have been announced, and Grand Junction's very own Warehouse 25Sixty-Five is one of seven nominees for "Venue of the Year." The Warehouse is in good company. Check out this year's nominees:

• Pub Station – Billings, Montana
• The Hat – Manhattan, Kansas
• Loud American Roadhouse – Sturgis, South Dakota
• Warehouse 25Sixty-Five – Grand Junction, Colorado
• Single Barrel – Lincoln, Nebraska
• Cowboy Saloon and Dancehall – Laramie, Wyoming
• Grizzly Rose – Denver, Colorado

Those are some prime-time rooms. Many of those featured on the list could be considered legendary Country music venues.

I would love to see Warehouse 25Sixty-Five win this. The room offers fantastic Country concerts featuring both national and local acts. Looking ahead, the next few weeks offer shows with acts such as Aaron Watson, Logan Mize, Easton Corbin, Jerrod Niemann, and Confederate Railroad. Upcoming shows also include regional acts like the Gary Russel Band, Exit 42, Lever Action, and Clark Jensen and Friends.

Yes, Warehouse 25-Sixty Five offers amazing Country shows. Let's not forget about all the great concerts featuring music other than Country. In the next few weeks, you can catch shows with regional groups Wave 11, The Western Colorado Jazz Orchestra, and the Swing City Express.

What's so special about the Warehouse? Well, in addition to fantastic live music, they offer great food and drinks. On a personal note, the venue also boasts a fantastic sound system with one of the best sound men I've ever worked with. I'm fortunate enough to get to play this room with the Swing City Express and the Western Colorado Jazz Orchestra, and both bands always look forward to playing the venue.

Congratulations to Warehouse 25Sixty-Five for this prestigious nomination. They're up against some legendary rooms across several states. Nominees for "Venue of the Year" come from Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, New Mexico Nebraska, and Kansas.  The Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards are coming up March 13th.
