We ain't monkeying around! A woman was assaulted and had her pet monkey stolen in Grand Junction. Can you help police track the suspect down?

According to the Grand Junction Police Departments website, they are,

is investigating a robbery in which a woman’s pet monkey was forcibly taken from her.

According to the report a woman from Missouri had her black cap Capuchin monkey taken from her by a man she met at the La Quinta Inn yesterday morning around 6a!

Apparently she was supposed to be selling him the monkey, but the man must have had other ideas because instead he sprayed her with pepper spray, grabbed monkey and ran!

It is illegal to possess this type of animal in Colorado, so both parties could possibly face charges.

But police are searching for a middle-eastern male, 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot 5-inches tall, thin build, with a short beard.  He was wearing glasses, a blue shirt, and possibly a vest.
