Grand Junction Big Band Releases New Album Across All Platforms

A Big Band out of Western Colorado is celebrating the release of their new album, "Jazz for Contemplation." Be among the first to hear it.

Grand Junction's Swing City Express, a Big Band created and directed by former Norad Band member Clark Gault, has spent the last year putting together the new album. As of today, you'll see it on all your favorite music platforms.

The Swing City Express, a 13-piece, sometimes 14-piece band (when they add vocalist Leah Rachelle) performs regularly around Western Colorado for dances, concerts, and social events. For the album, a number of players contributed their talents. The new album features:

"Jazz for Contemplation" features 13 tracks including The Opener, I've Got Plenty of Nothing, Nobody Does it Better, Besame Mucho, and When the Lights are Low.

The album was recorded by Greg Karly, with vocal and solo mastering done by Gary Smith at Gary R. Smith Productions in Grand Junction.
