Free breakfast and lunch are available to all District 51 students. Students going to school in person and online can both receive free breakfast and lunch.

District 51 has announced that starting 'Wednesday, September 2 all students at D51 schools will receive free breakfast and lunch no matter what the student's currently free, reduced of full pay eligibility status.' This is because the USDA has extended their Free Meals For Kids program through the end of December 2020 or until funding runs out.

District 51's Facebook states that students learning in person and online can get both breakfast and lunch for free. To receive free breakfast/lunch parents or guardians are required to notify the school about the number of meals needed and location and time of pickup before 9 a.m.

Culinary staff from District 51 will then deliver the meals at a designated location or curbside while practicing social distancing of course. District 51 also stated that if parents are requesting multiple meals for multiple students, they can be picked up a single location of your choice.

It's so great that District 51 and schools across the nation are providing free breakfast and lunch during this uncertain time. No child should have to worry about how they're going to get their next meal.

Free breakfast and lunch are available to all D51 students through the end of December or until funding runs out. You can find out more information about free breakfast and lunch for all District 51 students here.
