Former Major League Baseball player Tom Brunansky will be the featured speaker at the 2019 Junior College World Series banquet.

Brunansky enjoyed a 14-year major league career highlighted by a World Series championship with the Minnesota Twins in 1987. Brunansky also played for St. Louis, California, Boston, and Milwaukee.

A first-round draft pick in 1978, Brunansky finished his career with a .245 batting average, 271 home runs, and 919 RBI.

The 62nd annual Alpine Bank Junior College World Series banquet will be May 24 at Two Rivers Convention Center. Tickets are on sale a the JUCO office a Home Loan Insurance, 205 N. 4th Sreet. The evening features a social hour, dinner, NJCAA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the introduction of this year's JUCO teams, and the keynote address by Brunansky.
