Six months after being humiliated in the Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos begin their rebound season with a free scrimmage this Saturday (Aug.2) at Sports Authority Field. The memories of a bitter end to the season are fresh in the minds of players and fans alike as the 2014 NFL season draws near. Two years ago it was the playoff to loss to Baltimore. Last  year, well, you know the story. The Broncos again enter the season with high expectations - and hopes for a different ending - the one ending that 31 other teams are also hoping for.

The Broncos' first pre-season game is Thursday, August 7th against none other than the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Never mind that the game counts for nothing, and that starters from both teams will barely break a sweat. Both of these teams want to win this game, despite the fact that both sides are likely to downplay its importance.

Bronco practices are  normally closed to the public this season due to construction work that is going on at their practice facility at Dove Valley. That means for fans who can't afford the cost of a ticket to either a regular season or pre-season game will have a very limited opportunity to see the Big Orange in person.

This Saturday, August 2nd, the Broncos will hold a practice and scrimmage at Sports Authority Field in Denver where fans can come watch their team. The gates will open at 8:45am, practice starts at 10:45am, and the scrimmage begins at 11:55am. Believe it or not, the event is free and open to the public and features family-friendly pre-event activities in the new Noble Energy Sports Legends Mall on the south end of the stadium.
