Driver of Vehicle in January Crash That Killed Motorcyclist Arrested
The driver of a car involved in an accident at the intersection of Patterson at 291⁄2 Road that killed a motorcyclist in January has been arrested and charged with homicide.
On January 19, Curtis Littlepage was riding his motorcycle on Patterson Road when a vehicle driven by Kevin Clayton turned in front of him. Littlepage crashed into the vehicle and died from injuries sustained in the accident.
As part of their investigation, the Grand Junction Police Department gathered samples which were sent to a lab for toxicology testing. Those test results found that Clayton, the driver of the car in the crash, was driving under the influence of drugs.
The delay in the arrest is due to police having to wait for the results of those tests. With those tests and results complete, Clayton has been officially charged with Vehicular Homicide, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, and Driving Under Revocation.
