Drew Lock Wins First Start for Broncos
Drew Lock won his first game as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, beating the Los Angeles Chargers ( I still have a hard time with that one.)
Lock led the Broncos on two first-quarter drives for touchdowns, one on a beautiful catch by Cortland Sutton and took a lead into the half. He finished 18-28 for 134 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception and finished the game with a quarterback rating of 84.5.
But, as has been the story this season with the Broncos, they let the Chargers back in the game before putting them away with a 53-yard field goal as time expired.
Lock showed poise and a complete lack of fear in throwing the ball deep, showing off the arm strength that had John Elway drooling long before the draft that brought Lock to Denver.
Is Drew Lock the future of Denver Broncos football? He certainly could be, if his play yesterday is any indication.
Maybe, just maybe, the Broncos finally have themselves a quarterback.
