We had a competition between our Townsquare Media Grand Junction radio stations to see who could raise the MOST money for the Salvation Army over a two hour period and even though there were those that  LOST in the end we all WIN!

Thanks to all of our listeners of 99.9 KEKB, 95 Rock, KOOL 107.9, MIX 104.3 and ESPN Radio1230, we were able to raise a total of $568 for the community in just two hours!

Breakdown:

  • KEKB-$101.19 from the Fruita City Market
  • KOOL-$110.76 1st Street City Market
  • ROCK $171.37 Clifton City Market
  • MIX/ESPN-$185.32 24 Road City Market

Thanks to two of our number one listeners Pat Chapman & Dan Mills Mack wasn't alone in Fruita during her Bell Ringing and got to meet some REALLY giving people! Santa himself came to the 1st Street City Market to aid Ed and Zane and take pictures with the kids for free. A big thanks goes to the person that dropped the $100 check into the red kettle at the 24 Road City Market

If you are out this weekend, please clean out the ashtray in your car of all the loose change, empty the change cup at home or just give what you can to the Volunteers that are bell ringing. Because of less donations, those people you see out, like Robert Edwards at the City Market on 1st Street, are all volunteering this Sunday, which is usually a day off.

Thanks to ALL of you, even in these still trying times, we were able to help others with the Salvation Army!
