Colorado Woman Tries To Drive off the Monument With 4 Kids in Car
A 42-year-old woman, Jessica Dawn Garcia, has been arrested after trying to drive off the Colorado National Monument with fours kids and two dogs in her car.
Police received a call from a 13-year-old on March 30 stating the woman was trying to kill him and three other children. Not only were there four kids in her car, but there were also two dogs.
Whenever police located Jessica's car at the Colorado National Monument, it was only 10 feet from a cliff, in the area 262 miles west of Denver, according to the Denver Channel.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Jessica told the kids that the earth was 'corrupt' and she wanted them to be 'with Jesus.'
Jessica Dawn Garcia is being held on a $5,000 cash-only bond for four counts of attempted vehicular homicide and four counts of child abuse, according to the Denver Channel.
I'm so happy this 13-year-old kid was able to make the call to police. Who knows what could've happened if he didn't make the call.
